Transport

Paris Daguerre, in the 14th arrondissment, is extremely well served by public transport as well as being within easy walking distance of many areas and places of interest.

Connections from the two main airports, Charles de Gaulle to the north of the city, and Orly to the south, are quick and easy by the regional train service the RER line B, which links directly to the local station at Denfert Rochereau.

Charles de Gaulle Airport

  • Train - For details of train transport from Charles de Gaulle airport, see RER B.The journey time to Denfert Rochereau is approximately 40 minutes, followed by a 5 minute walk to the apartments.
  • Taxi - there are usually plenty of taxi's available, but they can be expensive, around €50, and subject to delays in traffic.
  • Bus - there are shuttle buses from the Airport to Montparnasse, and the apartments are a 10-15 minute walk from there.

Orly Airport

  • Train - A very regular shuttle link called the OrlyVal connects the airport to the RER B station at Anthony. The fare is around €9. This option is good for late night flight arrivals, when the Orlybus can become very overcrowded.
  • Taxi - the taxi journey from Orly costs around €20 - 25.
  • Bus - The airport is served directly to Denfert Rochereau by theOrlybus, run by RATP. The fare is just over €6, but it can be crowded.

Beauvais Airport

Beauvais is served by Ryanair, Wizz Air and Blue Air but beware it is a long way out of Paris !

  • There is a coach shuttle service from Beauvais Airport to Porte Maillot in the west of Paris. From Porte Maillot, catch the eastbound RER A and change at Chatelet to the RER B which will take you to Denfert Rochereau. The cost of the shuttle is around €13.
  • Alternately take a shuttle or taxi from the airport to Beauvais Gare SNCF and catch the TER to the Gare du Nord, and onwards to Denfert Rochereau.

 





 

Paris is very well served by trains from all areas of France via the TGV high speed routes as well as the slower local services.

Gare Du Nord is a just 5 stops on the RER B, for Eurostar services to London, Calais, Lille, DisneyLand Resort, Avignion, Brussels and beyond.

Gare Montparnasse within walking distance, serving the west and south west of France.

From Gare du Nord

  • Take the RER B or Metro Line 4 to Denfert Rochereau, and the apartments are a few minutes walk from there.
  • The 38 bus which stops outside the station also goes to Denfert Rochereau, if you prefer to stay above ground.

Metro tickets can be used on the bus, and are available in advance from Eurostar stations in the UK.

 

 

 

 

 


Denfert Rochereau is the nearest Metro station to the apartments, giving access to the whole of the Metro network plus the RER network via Line B
